Join Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) for its biggest fundraising event, the RoR Racing to Cricket tournament on Sunday 3rd September 2023 at the prestigious Wormsley Cricket Ground on the Getty Estate, nr High Wycombe.
Guests will be treated to a competitive and fun day of cricket whilst enjoying a champagne reception, sumptuous buffet lunch and traditional cricket tea in a private marquee which overlooks the picture-perfect cricket ground. Book a table for eight people for £1,400 or individual tickets are also available at £175 per person.
Concerns relating to the aftercare of racehorses are increasing. As British Horseracing’s official charity for the welfare of horses that have retired from racing RoR is now looking to build on what has already been achieved by expanding its remit to find solutions that bring more assurance around aftercare and ensure that former racehorses enjoy life after racing.
All proceeds raised from day, which also features a special auction of lots and raffle, go directly to help RoR to develop its increasingly important role in aftercare. For those unable to attend but would still like to show your support of the charity and the welfare of horses who have retired from racing – please click HERE to make a donation.
The cricket tournament is a limited overs 8-a-side knockout competition, and Nicky Henderson’s team will be hoping to win their third successive tournament, so there’s no doubt the competition will again be fierce and fun.
The event is kindly sponsored for a second year by Irwin Mitchell, a provider of legal and financial advice to both individuals and businesses.
A number of other sponsorship packages are available for businesses to support the day and anyone interested can email Sue Wallis suewallis@pacems.co.uk or call 07748 653336.
RoR is always interested to hear of other success stories so please email us and send a photograph of your own story.
