RoR launches new fundraising microsite supported by Agria and Ascot Racecourse
7 February 2025
Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) is proud to announce the launch of its dedicated fundraising microsite - support.ror.org.uk, marking an important milestone in the charity’s digital and fundraising development. This achievement has been made possible thanks to RoR’s three-year partnership with Agria and generous funding from Ascot Racecourse via their Ascot Racecourse Supports programme.
The new microsite serves as a central hub for supporters, offering comprehensive information on ways to contribute to the charity’s vital work. Visitors can now explore opportunities for volunteering, regular giving, business partnerships, and leaving a legacy through an expanded free wills service.
Among the new features introduced is a memory wall, providing a meaningful space for donors to commemorate loved ones or cherished horses, ensuring their legacies live on. Additionally, a monthly giving option has been implemented, making it easier than ever for supporters to provide ongoing contributions.
David Catlow, Managing Director of RoR, expressed his gratitude: "We are extremely grateful to Agria and Ascot Racecourse for their generous support, which has enabled us to launch this microsite. Thanks to these funds, we have taken the first step in expanding our online presence. This platform allows us to better share RoR’s charitable mission and fulfil the goals of our three-year strategy."
Vicki Wentworth, CEO of Agria UK, said: “We have always believed in supporting horses through their whole life at Agria, so we are delighted to support this microsite for the RoR as the charity seeks to do the same for former racehorses moving into new careers. I know first-hand as an RoR owner how versatile these wonderful horses are, and we are really proud to be backing this initiative.”
Nick Smith, Director of Racing and Public Affairs at Ascot Racecourse, said: “We are delighted that our funding will help promote the online presence of RoR and raise more awareness and funds for the charity’s work. Last year Ryan Moore’s six winners at Royal Ascot helped raise £30,000 for RoR and we look forward to repeating the initiative at the Royal Meeting this year with another £5000 donated for each race he wins during the week.”
