news My Pension Expert teams up with RoR for 2025 Racing to Cricket fundraiser

8th April 2025

Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) is delighted to announce My Pension Expert as the headline supporter for the upcoming My Pension Expert RoR Racing to Cricket 2025. This premier fundraising event is scheduled for Sunday, 7 September 2025, at the picturesque Wormsley Estate in Buckinghamshire.

Celebrating its fifth year, RoR Racing to Cricket has become a cornerstone in RoR's fundraising calendar, blending sport, networking, and philanthropy. The event features an eight-a-side knockout cricket tournament with teams from renowned racing yards, including Nicky Henderson’s Seven Barrows, Jack Channon, Ben Pauling, and Warren Greatrex, competing for the coveted RoR Racing to Cricket trophy. This year’s My Pension Expert RoR Racing to Cricket 2025 will be extra special as RoR celebrates its 25th anniversary.

Guests will enjoy exceptional hospitality from the exclusive boundary room marquee, featuring a champagne reception, a seasonal buffet, fine wines, and a traditional afternoon cricket tea. Beyond the on-field action, the event serves as a vital fundraising opportunity, with proceeds from the live auction and raffle directly supporting RoR's mission to safeguard the wellbeing of all former racehorses.

My Pension Expert's support underscores their commitment to equine welfare and will significantly enhance the event's success, contributing to RoR's ongoing efforts to ensure a secure and fulfilling future for all former racehorses.

David Catlow, Managing Director of RoR said: "We are thrilled to welcome My Pension Expert as the headline supporter for this year's My Pension Expert RoR Racing to Cricket 2025. Their generous support is instrumental in advancing our mission and ensuring the well-being of former racehorses. We look forward to a successful partnership and a memorable event”

Lily Megson, Policy Director of My Pension Expert added: “As a Doncaster-based business – a city steeped in racing history – the welfare of racehorses, both on and off the track, is an issue close to our hearts. As such, we are delighted to have the opportunity to support RoR in their mission, and celebrate their efforts to help former racehorses enjoy a well-deserved retirement.”
