RoR Horses For Courses
In early 2023 we launched an exciting new initiative to showcase the care given and opportunities available to racehorses once their racing days come to an end.
The RoR Horses for Courses programme has so far seen 23 racecourses adopt an equine ambassador, who they invite to attend racedays and provide updates to racegoers about their lives after racing.

The initiative is generously supported by Godolphin.
What is a Horses for Courses ambassador?
Throughout the season, each course uses their communications channels to actively promote their ambassador’s story and the horse serves as an important link between the racecourse and the local community. As well as giving racegoers the chance to interact more closely with horses, the ambassadors provide the opportunity for courses to educate racegoers about racehorses and their lives after racing.
Regardless of whether the horse is out competing or is just a happy hack, Horses for Courses helps the industry convey the quality of life of former racehorses by highlighting what they are doing in their second careers.
