RoR Midlands-RoR and Agria Social Evening with Hollie Hookway, Veterinary Physiotherapist, Stoke Orchard Community Centre, Cheltenham GL52 7SB
Kindly supported by Agria, the UK's only lifetime equine insurance provider, join us for an inspiring evening with t fellow RoR members and be part of our supportive community, regardless of where you are in your journey with your former racehorse.
Join us for a fantastic evening with Hollie, talking about the best way to support thoroughbreds in that transition from racehorse to riding horse. As well as ways of supporting them through rehab.
As well as being a veterinary Physiotherapist, Hollie has 2 former racehorses herself and is on the journey of retraining as well.
Hollie's Bio.
Hollie was brought up in a horse loving family where her childhood was mostly spent in the family paddocks at their home in Worcestershire looking after their several ponies. The first of which, named Holly.
Hollie's passion for horses has been largely influenced by her mother who has a past history of showing Arabians before a change into racing for the last 30 years. This connection to racing allowed valuable opportunities to own and retrain several ex racehorses.
During Hollie's educational period at Hartpury College, a fondness of Dressage transpired and has been present ever since, even stimulating a move from years of owning Thoroughbreds to a new love of Warmbloods.
Being based back in Warwickshire has allowed Hollie to train with some of the best professionals within all areas of the industry and gain invaluable experience.
Hollie's interest in Physiotherapy has developed with her experience and involvement within the industry, as maintaining and enhancing the musculoskeletal condition of all horses is directly related to their performance/results and is of recognised importance to all disciplines and every owner.
Whether you own a former racehorse, pony club pony, or leisure horse, this evening will provide useful insight into keeping horses comfortable, healthy, and performing at their best.
Refreshments provided, as well as the opportunity to WIN £50 of RoR gift vouchers in our raffle.
While people sometimes worry about the potential for increased health problems in a former racehorse, Agria’s lifetime equine policy —the only UK horse insurance which does not add new exclusions to your vet fee cover once you make a claim — will protect your partnership. Nor does the level of veterinary cover diminish as your horse grows old.
Any Agria insurance policy purchased through RoR’s affiliate links will result in a small percentage being received by RoR. This applies to insurance policy purchased including horse, dog, cat and rabbit.
