A chance for a behind the scenes look into the life of a racehorse, it's routine, training, feeding and much more at West Loudon Farm. R Mike Smith Racing is a successful dual purpose racing yard based in Galston, Ayrshire.

West Loudoun has two separate schooling areas indoor and outdoor, horse-walker, starting stalls, equine massage equipment, equine spa and a 7 furlong all weather woodchip gallop. Everything a racehorse needs to fulfil their potential.

They also have the added bonus of a veterinary surgery on-site.

PM -talk on the retraining process from Amy Bannister-Bell BHSI and RoR Wales Regional Development Officer

We will discuss what the retraining process involves, advice on how to maintain good practices for a successful retraining journey and what support is out there to assist you if you choose to take on an ex racehorse or if you already own a retrained racehorse.

4 BHS CPD points will be gained for BHS members who attends.

This event is also accredited for BD, BS and BE CPD endorsement.
