RoR Northern- Flatwork or Polework Clinic with Laura Milner, North Yorkshire YO42
Laura's Bio
Hi everyone, I’m Laura Milner! I’m a passionate horsewoman who pretty much lives, eats and breathes the sport we all love!
I am a former GB dressage rider who has competed upto International Small Tour and I have experience with producing young horses in many spheres. I know sometimes people panic when they see I teach Dressage, but I have worked with people through all disciplines, and with complete beginners to advanced riders and had some great successes, including National championship qualifications.
I am sure that my currently pupils can vouch for me when I say I am passionate about my training; I have a sympathetic but direct approach to teaching and aim to make a difference or improvement in every session. I like to help my clients understand and see the benefits that flat work can give to your horses whole way of going! Flat work is the basis of every discipline. My goal is to enable you to find the best out of yourself and your horse, achieve great + constantly improving results, whilst also having fun!
I am a UKCC L2 flat/pole/jump coach, AASE Hartpury graduate - fully insured, safeguard qualified and enhanced DBS checked.
I also have a keen interest in rider fitness and biomechanics with my business “Level Up Performance” working with riders OFF the horse to improve their movement and effectiveness ON the horse.
My junior horse was a thoroughbred and, although never raced, he was a very quirky and sensitive boy. I’ve since worked on the group with many ex racers and love their enthusiasm and talent - I work to get riders on the same page as their horse even in the excitable moments, and ultimately achieve the best we can from them as a partnership!
