Training RoR Northern- Preparation for Showing Clinic with Helen Taylor, Sowerby YO7

As the showing season is nearly here I’m sure some of you will be thinking about getting your beautiful ex racehorses prepared for the showing series.

This clinic is designed to help you practice, run though your show, work on any issues you may have, give you tips on turnout, etiquette and answer any questions you may have.

We will have small groups so your horse can get used to being with others in a show environment without it being too busy or exciting. We will have a practice “go round” quietly and under control, get used to standing in line, practice your show, talk about way of going , tack, bits and turnout.

I am an absolute fan of the thoroughbred and I am delighted to be able to run this clinic in quiet surroundings suitable for them. I have worked in racing when I was younger subsequently having my own Point to pointer. I have competed my own horses nationally since I was very young coming through Pony Club games team, Hunting , Working Hunter, Show Hunters, Riding Horses, Show Ponies, M&Ms to RIHS & HOYS level, also Show Jumping professionally… Breaking and producing young horses is something I really enjoy doing and currently have several I am working on, I have been an BHS Accredited Coach for over 30 years. Teaching/ Coaching all standards of riders and horses. I regularly teach/train ex race horses and understand their needs which are often different to non raced horses. Everyone is welcome to come to the clinic which will be friendly and encouraging.
