Series The Hot to Trot Racing RoR Elite Performance Award for Dressage

The Hot to Trot Racing RoR Elite Performance Award for Dressage is open to horse/rider combinations competing at advanced medium level and above who have qualified by achieving a top six placing in the RoR Dressage Horse Special.

Hot To Trot Racing is an affordable racing syndicate that races a group of leased horses, predominantly fillies, with some of the leading trainers in the country. Overview

Eligibility

For all RoR competition registered horses. Riders must be 15yrs and over on 1 January of current year. The Hot to Trot Racing RoR Elite Performance Award for Dressage – for qualified combinations only.

Qualification criteria

Qualification is via the RoR Dressage Horse Special at The Jockey Club RoR National Championships at Aintree (19 August 2026) – two sections:

  • Restricted: for GB raced horses only who have not previously won the Special
  • Open: for all RoR competition registered horses including former winners of the Special and of the RoR Elite Performance Award for Dressage.

In order to qualify for the RoR Dressage Horse Special, members must submit two scores of 60% minimum gained at advanced medium level or above. Scores must be from standard BD tests and maybe affiliated or unaffiliated. Qualification period 1 February 2025 to 1 August 2025.

Useful information

Both sections of the Special to be judged at advanced medium level.

The top six GB raced horses overall from the Open and Restricted will qualify for the Hot to Trot Racing RoR Elite Performance Award for Dressage Final 2026.

The Championship final will be judged as a freestyle to music test at advanced medium level or above, highest score wins regardless of test. The final is for qualified horse/rider combinations only. No substitutions allowed.

The Hot To Trot Racing RoR Elite Performance Award winner’s prize (£500) will be presented at the RoR Awards - date to be confirmed.
