Tattersalls RoR Open Ridden Scottish Show Series
This show series is judged under Riding Horse class rules on type, ride, manners and conformation. The horse will be ridden by the judge prior to conformation judging.

Overview
Eligibility
Horses must have raced in GB and have current RoR competition membership. Riders must be 15 years or over on the 1 January of the current year. Horses must be over four years old and over, mares and geldings any height.
Rules
The class will be run under the rules of RoR:
- Competitors and grooms must wear the current approved safety/kite mark hard hat with a chinstrap.
- Horses should be ridden in a snaffle, pelham or simple double bridle, and should be plaited. General purpose or straight cut saddles may be used.
- Racing injuries and blemishes are not ignored.
- Please make sure you have big enough stirrups for the ride judges. You will not be asked to gallop your horse.
- Please be aware that should the entries exceed 20 the show will split the class on the horse's last run in a race (NH or flat) or will provide two ride judges. Please mark your entry form accordingly.

Qualification
Qualifiers held before 1 May 2025 will go forward to the championship at the Royal Highland Show 2025. After that date the first three go forward to the championship at the Royal Highland Show 2026.
In the event that the first three are already qualified, the qualification will go down the line to fourth place.
There will be a prize for the highest placed veteran 15 years or over. The class will be run under the rules of RoR. Horses to be ridden by the judge. All those entering horses and/or participating in the show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force.
The Jockey Club RoR National Championships
The winner of each Tattersalls RoR Open Ridden Scottish Show Series Qualifier between 1 August 2024 to 31 July 2025, also qualifies for the Tattersalls RoR Open Ridden Special Final on Saturday 23 August 2024 at The Jockey Club RoR National Championships at Aintree Equestrian Centre.
All winner of the veteran prize at each qualifying show will qualify for the RoR Ridden Veteran final to be held at The Jockey Club RoR National Championships at Aintree Equestrian Centre on 23 August 2025. Qualifiers held after 1 August 2025 will qualify for the 2026 Veteran final.
