Rehoming
Most horses retiring from racing are eminently suitable for a further career in one of the many sport horses disciplines or simply as a hack. Regardless of the horse’s talent, for a racehorse to make the switchover they need to be physically sound and have a suitable temperament for reschooling. Once out of training the majority of racehorses will settle down and adapt to the reschooling and they usually settle down and show a calmer temperament than they did whilst in training.
