Competition Vale Of Glamorgan

The Vale of Glamorgan Agricultural Society was established in 1772 for farmers to meet and compete in annual produce and livestock competitions. Eventually the Society created the Vale of Glamorgan Show, initially held in Cowbridge, it moved to its magnificent site at Fonmon Castle in 1998.

There are more than 200 Trade Stands on the field marketing and selling a huge variety of goods. A Food Hall stands in the centre of the field selling produce, most of which has been grown or made in the Vale, along with a Shopping Mall which allows small traders to exhibit. The Show hosts a large Craft Fair and Horticultural Show along with a Home Produce marquee.
